Former British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Anwar ChoudhuryAbul Fateh – Diplomat and statesman.[319][320] He was the first Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh after independence in 1971.
Anwar Choudhury – The British High Commissioner for Bangladesh between 2004 and 2008. He was the first non-white British person to be appointed in a senior diplomatic post. He is currently the Director of International Institutions at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office[321]
Asif Ahmad – British Diplomat who served as the British Ambassador to Thailand from November 2010 until August 2012.[322] Since July 2013, he has been British Ambassador to the Philippines.[323]
Dr Halima Begum – Civil servant, international development manager and Director Education of East Asia at the British Council. She was previously first secretary for development at the Department for International Development (DIFD).[324]
