Will makes some great points. This constant drum beat of racism by the Dems won't work with the American public.

Eric Holder’s suggestion earlier this week that he and President Obama receive more criticism due to their race is just the latest example of the “intellectual poverty” among Democrats, according to George Will.

“Liberalism has a kind of Tourette’s syndrome these days — it’s just constantly saying the word ‘racism’ and ‘racist,’” he said on Fox News Sunday.

With Democrats facing the unpopularity of Obamacare, a troubled foreign-policy, and an “unprecedentedly bad” economic recovery, the party had started to employ this strategy in to top-gear ahead of the fall midterms. In fact, earlier in the day, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman Steve Israel (D., N.Y.) told CNN that a “significant extent” of Republicans were “animated by racism.”

But Will expects the public will see through Democrats’ strategy. “It’s so inappropriate — the constant invocation of this — that it is, I think, becoming a national mirth,” he said.

In a perverted sense, the Dems always playing the race card, is why a lot of people have turned against blacks.

I like what he said about college campuses where now any criticism of Obama or the Democrats is met with militant charges of racism. I can only imagine what a miserable place the University has become. It wasn't nearly this bad when I graduated just 10 years ago.

In Alabama the hardcore liberals were just marginalized, and most were losers.

I agree. However, in Bible Belt states like Alabama and Oklahoma, the liberals can be a lot more aggressive and hateful. They are highly outnumbered and feel like they have something to prove.

On my campus they kept to the Art and Communications building.

I agree 100% with that. It's as if our liberals feel the need to be even more wacky than their Californian peers as if that was somehow going to get them into the 'club.'

The problem is that with manufacturing jobs moving south, so are the liberals. Many are coming back ready to enlighten us with what they learned out in broke California. That is one downside of success.

I don't have the link. I'm too tired and lazy to look, but there was a thread here a while back that showed blacks to be more racist towards whites than whites are to blacks. In fact, if I remember correctly, blacks treated blacks worse than whites did.

Waiting for them to tie racism to climate change someway.
