Sounds like one of them there Mega Churches with 5,000 members at each service.
There's a place in Houston called the Crystal Palace. Drinks are expensive, waitresses are NICE, and the entertainment is top notch.
Bet that's a different place than y'all are talking about.

West Bromwich Albion? Swansea? Cardiff City?
In contrast, Valladolid (one spot from relegation) beat Barca a few weeks back. There are also more La Liga sides advancing further in the two European competition than any other league (that's the top 6 teams from last year for the uninitiated).
Just for fun, the CL is down to 4. Two from Spain, one from England....and the eventual champs, again, Bayern Munich.
Crystal Palace beat Chelsea because John Terry scored an own goal.
Give Crystal Palace some credit for not letting Chelsea score at all then.
Absolutely, but it's not like Crystal Palace earned the win. They earned a tie. Terry gave them the win.

Its a thread about realignment that turned into a football discussion...a real football discussion.
Real football? I haven't read any rugby discussion on here.

Yea but its really hard to root for Chelsea. I just can't root for a team owned by a Russian oligarch with ties to Putin with questions as to how he earned his money. All that money buys some good players though. One year when I was living in Europe, Chelsea started so strong we wondered if anyone was going to score on them.
I'm an Eredivisie fan myself (Twente, AZ Alkmaar), although I'm watching Brighton and Howe's bid to complete a trip from the 3rd Division back to the Premier League.

I really believe JMU fans would be excited about playing football games vs. Sun Belt schools.
It would be like the FCS playoffs every Saturday of the week...
Sooo.... What your saying is that the Ragin Cajuns beat three FCS teams in consecutive bowl games that just happen to be heading to the AAC. So much for AAC football domination of the G5. At least SDSU had the smarts to bolt before it was too late.

And one of those moving to the AAC teams lost to South Alabama at home this year. So that moving to the AAC team lost to two SBC teams in their own stadium

They are linked to us because they've openly said they want an SBC invite.
Thing is...they are 2-3 years behind the rest of us. Just getting lights on your baseball field is not a good sign if you want to play in one of the better baseball leagues in the country. Just one example of work that has to be done.

Well does that mean you won't take EKU b/c they're 2-3 behind if JMU says no and you'll settle for Liberty?

It would depend on how anti Liberty our Presidents are. I could see a situation where if JMU said no, Missouri State said no, and we still wouldn't take Liberty, that EKU would get a call.

A (Awful)
A (athletic)
C (Conference)
Superiority hidden in the halls of a mediocre athletic conference. Must be tough knowing your getting your butt kicked regularly by your supposed little brother.

I get (sort of) why some think Liberty is settling, especially with the conference we are coming out of and lack of playoffs, etc. I get all of that, but "settling" for Liberty, you could do a lot worse...

EKU is light years ahead of Liberty in tradition, like-minded school, no online diploma program with incessant Devry like commercials. Also better for Ark State and others for travel. Liberty is better than Presbyterian and VMI if that lessens the blow any. Liberty just doesn't have the votes. There are a few schools that no matter how desperate we are for a 12th will never vote for LU.

I think Liberty is a good fit for the SoCon. More like minded schools and such. I'm for Liberty over staying at 11 but I'd rather see any of the 3 public schools 1st. All 3 from better fcs conferences on the fb/bball scale.
