Not a problem. Everyone else knew what was happening.

With Rice's loss today against ECU, UAB now has a 1/2 game lead on Rice in the conference standings.

In the softball game earlier, UAB got up early in the first inning on a Kristen McGrath homerun. Tulsa hadn't scored any runs, but when it started to rain in the top of the 5th inning, we had trouble getting them out and trailed 7-1 going into the bottom of the inning. Tulsa's ace, who was a member of the USA Softball women's national team, had trouble in the bottom of the 5th; as she threw 8 straight balls. The game was then halted. Since 5 innings were not completed, the game was essentially erased from existence and our softball team started using the tarp as a slip-and-slide. The North Texas/La Tech game was also canceled, so we remain in a 2nd-place tie with North Texas with a 9-5 conference record. Tulsa remains in 1st with a 10-1 record, with our victory yesterday being their 1 loss.

What really threw me is that both teams, playing 9 inning games, played doubleheaders, both won both games, and the final scores were very similar. And I was like waaaaaaaaaaa?
