We're sure Matt and Scot are two separate people? I suspect it's just a guy arguing with himself. It's cheaper that way.

pretty good interview.
He's actually trying to sell a program. Been there and heard the negative comments and was surprised by what he saw.
Stated he's not trying to compete with AU and ua. He wants to be able to compete regionally, before trying to compete nationally.
Knows the stigma of Lesion Field but knows support facilities and training areas are just as important.

I think he especially handled the call well questioning his sanity of taking the job and playing in Legion Field.

Like Kevin Jaquess in the other thread, Coach Clark is tip-toeing around the OCS questions because there is nothing right now that can be said that would be news. As has been said before, there are several facility improvements that will be a more direct and immediate help to our team than a new stadium so Coach Clark wants them done first. He indicated that the practice field and team dressing room is already being prepared for next year. He seems to be getting important improvements done right now.

I'm sure he's had that conversation with several people by now.

They must have screened the calls very carefully, because out of the entire 30 minutes of studio time, that is as negative as it got. On JOX they typically get to talking about dropping football or dropping down to FCS pretty fast.

However, the screener probably could have figured out that caller was not going to shut up.

Maybe Jerx realized that you can play games with all of the former head coaches that we have had but you don't F around with the real deal.

It's also probably easier to just sit down and shoot the breeze with Clark than it was with McGee, and good rapport with someone makes it harder to let the idiot callers on the air and make him sweat. I could have lunch with Clark. McGee would probably intimidate me and make me not want to ask a lot of questions.

If I had lunch with Mcgee he would make me want to bash his head with a beer mug
