Some folks on here thought it foolish to hire Tyler Summitt...well I understand he is the new Head Coach at Louisiana Tech. ETSU missed an enormous opportunity in letting this guy get away.

That is an incredibly stupid hire by Louisiana Tech.

How do you know ETSU missed an opportunity? What evidence is there that Tyler Summitt would make a good head coach? He seems like a sharp guy, but at this point I don't see how that assertion can be substantiated. Maybe his last name created a halo around his head. Sounds familiar.

Easy too soon for him for that job. La. Tech used to be a powerhouse in women's hoops and they still have expectations to win.
He needed another year or two.

No thanks. I'd rather have a seasoned head coach calling the shots rather than some name-only political hire who's going to require tudering from assistant coaches 32 years his senior. I'm thankful we have Brittany Ezell and I can't wait to see how the Lady Bucs develop as she gets her own recruits in here.

Please tell me this is sarcasm?

Word on the street is that there's a "core group" of Vol fans (donors) that are hoping for his success at La Tech . . . to where they can replace Holly W. with young Summitt.

He's 23 and has accomplished nothing!

If only we could ship Bartow down to K-Town.....

Wrong, he is a Head Coach at 23...I think that's a pretty commendable accomplishment.

On what merits?

We missed an enormous opportunity because someone hired a coach with no experience? Oh wait, he was the head coach for an AAU team so I guess ETSU blew it.

And lets imagine ETSU did hire him last year. Do you really think when LA Tech came calling this year he would have stayed?
