Hood has been gone and Dalembert will be back. Sounds like Arledge is transferring in and he's a legit post presence. Bessick would have been the 3rd string forward next year if he stayed, he saw the writing on the wall.

Bessick doesn't think the other three housemates are leaving, which is very good news. And Brady wants Bessick to stay...still. Latest Sunderland tweets.

Must be something wrong with leadership when you have so many transfers.

Transferring out is endemic and is a big part of the college game today. Guys usually leave because they want more playing time....that simple.

He was unprepared for that from a physical standpoint and probably lacked the skills to do so, as well. Had he been able to come off the bench for a couple of years, I think that we all would have felt differently about him. I wish him the best of luck wherever he winds up (as long as it's no UVA - and maybe ODU)

Maybe I am missing something, but does anyone expect Bessick to land at a school as a scholarship player in the ACC or even C-USA?

Heck no...with his skillset I would suspect a MEAC school would be a good fit. There is no way I see him going to a higher profile conference.

That's bound to happen when your touches usually result in misses or turnovers.

If that is the reason cited, that is laughable. I wish him luck....but Bessick was given ever chance to win a post job this season. All he had to be able to do was defend (not foul) and be able to finish within 5 feet. Neither of which he was capable of doing.

RE: Bessick to transfer
Cooke is gone I've been saying this for 2 months
Yoyo is 75% either ineligible or gone

Cooke leaving is huge I mean huge, if you guys knew some things you would see how close Brady got to having a hell of a team next year. The coaching staff is lazy and is horrid with developing character and team chemistry. Team will no alright with hall, Jon and other kid coming in, but don't be suprised if one of those incoming freshman backs out or transfers too.

Don't be suprised if Jackson leaves too..

Don't be surprised if every person that has ever played for JMU leaves.

Also, BSKB24 is transferring as well.

RE: Bessick to transfer
Exactly. Who the hell are we gonna have left. I'm getting back into shape and I have four years to play. Let me put on the jersey. I'll play! I'll never understand why we recruit these type of players and at the same time why do guys agree to play for us if they are going to be unhappy once they get here and leave?

Whatever happens happens as far as I'm concerned. If guys want to leave, see ya later, don't let the door hit you on the way out. What's the worst that could happen, we suck? Been there and done that! Bring back Keener!

Yes even William and Mary had a guy transfer out four years back. No worries, this is a positive sign in year six of a program.

I don't understand, most of the season posters were saying how these players weren't good enough to play for us, and now we're upset that they're leaving?

Re: Bessick to transfer
News flash! The Hart Foundation is transferring.

I think half of our fanbase needs to be on Ritalin. You throw out a few "rumors" and they will extrapolate them to the tenth power.

Keep in mind than transfers can be a good thing.
Right now we are in good mode.
Bessick and Rivard leaving for playing time.
Arledge and ??? Arriving as upgrades at their position.

If starters transfer you can start worrying about the program. You can also wonder about their wisdom too. With the starters intact and the 4 new additions, this team will be CAA favorites. Only a fool would leave what is shaping up to be a 2 year run at the top.

RE: Bessick to transfer
A lot can be said about Brady, but camaraderie of his players hasn't been an issue until this year's sophomore class it seems. I'm thinking back to players like Moore, Wells, Curtis, Goins and Semenov (early years) and it never seemed like they were just dying to leave the program. They weren't the greatest bunch, but they all had some talent and a lot of personality...Devon's mother had cancer and he decided to stay 5 years to finish and earn a degree.

Maybe we've never had a poster as close to the team as Barkers, but it just seems so odd that morale is apparently so low. If these guys really can't stand their time at JMU as a Division 1 athlete, I have a tough time relating to them...if they are failing and/or not attending classes, then they shouldn't be on the team anyway.

Why do people keep saying Cooke is leaving. In the interview they had with him that aired during halftime of one of the late games in the season, he was talking about how much he loved it at JMU. Where's this coming from?

Just consider it a done deal, if you call Brady right now he will tell you Cooke is leaving

I find this hard to believe. Could you call him, record it, and put it on YouTube please?

For what's it worth, Bessick was quoted as saying he doesn't think Cooke, Nation or Curry will be transferring. He said if they were he believes the transferring player would have told everyone of their decision.

I would hate to see any of this team transfer. Next year we should win it all. Come on guys, stick with us!
