Nice, Marshall gets its first ever series win against Tulane. Probably the worst Tulane team in over 20 years, but congrats. That's probably one of the great accomplishments in Marshall baseball history.

As for staying out, trust me nobody is trying to get in to Conference USA. It's awful, we're happy to get out. No more traveling to West Virginia to play a terrible team with a classless coach. That's bad enough but did I mention this team doesn't even have their own baseball field? They share it with two other teams. That's total high school stuff. Could have got a double header in on Friday, Marshall either chose not to or didnt have the authority to make that decision because they don't have their own stadium.
Could have finished the final 2 innings of game 2 yesterday as well, but again for whatever reason that wasn't done.

The reason for the cancellation is because Marshall and WVU are sharing APP and when the rain started Saturday WVU didn't get to play Sat. So come Sunday there was snow on the ground but it was melting and everyone decided it was only fair to let WVU/Baylor play since they had only played once and the weather just didn't allow for two games on Sunday.

I recall an incident at USM that involved Waggoner and a thrown trash can during a memorable meltdown after a call by one of the umpi

Sad but true.

Congratulations to Marshall, and good luck to the Herd now and in the future.

The final 2 innings of game 2 still could have been played on Sunday. Anyway this is why not having your own park is ridiculous at this level. Trying to play 6 games between 4 teams in 3 days should not happen at this level.

That is odd. Is there no land near Marshall?
