How does a mediocre Florida State team get 74 votes?

Right now with OSU & USC in NCG, Rose Bowl gets 1st 2 picks. ND a given, would they go after B-E champ or Cali. Cali safer & 13 million cheaper. Sugar bowl proabbly likes Mich. Orange Bowl always goes after cheaper, Tenn. BE champ in Fiesta vs Tex. With BE champ floating at 17 million, it's gonna be hard to get 2nd BE team in BCS.

Rose Bowl could very easily pick a 2nd big 10 team just because they like to try and stay with tradition.

If OSU and UM stay 1-2 in the B10 then the Rose Bowl will definitely take Michigan over any other conference champ. Like MLB said, there's way too much tradition there.

How exciting is it to be a Rutgers fan when you're ranked ahead of Penn State, St. Fredo's of Boston, Thug U, and the Criminoles? That's all I have to say about that.

The WAC has one school in the TOp 30. CUSA, MAC, MWC and the Sun Belt have none! Where are all the Big East bashers at now? 05-stirthepot

Wrong with your first statement as you implied. lmfao

Right with your second statement as you implied. 04-jawdrop

WAC and MWC will have to wait for the SKI season. :chillpill:

Cusa and the Sunbelt will wait for swim season. 01-gts

And the MAC will wait for TEMPLE to lead them to DOOMSDAY season. 01-swc

Coaches Poll Analysis
I agree with the coaches cautious placement of Arkansas at #23, unlike the writers major jump, since they had been unranked prior to knocking off Auburn. I disagree, however, with dropping Rutgers down a notch after a bye week. That is ridiculous.

I expected either Florida or Michigan to jump up to the #2/#3 spot after Auburn's tumble. No news there. Florida State and Penn State should not be receiving the amounts of votes they are getting at this point. Those are based on reputation alone.
