When OS X came out, it became the preferred platform for art, marketing, and music production. This lead to every sleek looking office in every movie, tv show, and commercial to have Macs lined up on a desk (that Silicon Valley/I run my startup from a Starbucks look). That brought on certain type of status for the OS.

Then came the iPod...

The Hipsters are ironically big fans of Microsoft.

My phone is so old that I need to use a crank and talk to an operator. No kidding, but my wife doesn't want a fancy one as she's into thrift. That's something on my Bucket List. A phone that I won't know how to use.

See? Apple is for kids and old people who don't want to learn a good smart phone... My parents both have iPhones and iPads too... They ALMOST went with Samsung Galaxies this last go round but decided to stick with iPhones for it's easy use. I do chuckle at them everytime I do something with my phone that they can't with theirs... They take it well.

I honestly have all the phone I need for my activities. Hell...I was using a military style flip phone before. It was fine. The only reason I upgraded was it was free. It is just not the big a deal to me. Oh BTW....I call myself an old man...You are not allowed!!!! Im only 53.

53? Heck, at 53 I was still out saving lives. I was a hero.

Anyway, that's what I was being told I was, even if I didn't feel that way.

I prefer Microsoft for work but apple for play. At our school, we get a new laptop every three years. Next year, we are going back to Apple.

When my parents upgraded to the iPhone 5s, or whatever the newest one is called, they gave two of my boys their old iPhones to play games on. Now if my kids are over there with the old iPhones, they have to put them on Airplane mode so the info doesn't get "tangled" up with the new iPhones... It's just completely stupid and an inconvenience that your old phone could do that with your new phone... That's another reason I hate Apple.
