VCU has made the NCAA tourney 13 times, their first appearance in 1980. And remember their final four run in 2011? They've made it back to the Big Dance every year since. Rockets will have their hands full.

The thing that should make you guys feel really excited is that with your three probable RPI top 50 out of conference games (Michigan, Duke, VCU) and maybe a couple of games vs a top 50 team(s) in the MAC schedule, means that just two top 50 wins and avoiding bad losses is usually enough for an at-large.

RE: Men's Basketball Schedule Next Season
Here is the bracket for the Legends Tournament. As it turns out, the Rockets are not playing at Michigan. Rather they are playing at Oregon on Nov. 21. The Rockets will host Bucknell on Nov. 24 and play the winner of the Detroit-Maryland Eastern Shore game on the 25th.

Oakland will be coming to Savage next season.

Coach K said that Oakland was playing at Savage this season. Why did that change?

Ok, that sucks. So basically we loose out on an away game in our back yard vs a beatable B14 team and are now shipped out cross country to the west coast.

Well that sucks. I'm going to say that UM was scared to play us. I don't care if it's true or not. At least we got Bucknell at home. That's a good get.

Oregon got hurt pretty bad with dismissals in the offseason. Definitely a winnable game for you guys.

Even though VCU is a beneficiary, I don't care for these predetermined semifinals formats. You could beat Oregon and VCU and your reward is to carve the turkey at the kid's table. If they did an eight-team bracket, you could get something like:

Michigan
Maryland-Eastern Shore

Oregon
Toledo

VCU
Detroit

Villanova
Florida Atlantic

Then you'd get your Michigan game in the semifinals with an Oregon win (presuming they seeded Michigan first based on the original semi matchups).

But I guess that's part and parcel with college basketball tournaments these days. Too much invested in making sure they can sell tickets and raise TV ratings that they have to ensure only the top programs will appear in the main event. Kinda like the P5/G5 thing, in a way. 07-coffee3

Don't care about the floor. Regionally and for our fan base I wanted to go into Ann Arbor and go head to head with UM. Winning in Oregon is a W, but not as big as playing well or Beating UM.

It's Maryland-Eastern Shore, not FAU.
