Chamberlin and Nathan's emergence has been key. I think we're good in that area.

Certainly have been lights out in the last 3 weeks. Great job by them after a horrible April. Sure makes it a lot easier to watch the last 3 innings when they are on point.

On another note, you think the Rangers might want a "do over" on that trade?

Kindler had a MIGHTY single in Fenway last night.

Smyly just didn't have his best stuff last night and they didn't hit outside of the meat of the lineup and still almost pulled a W...on the road. The A's on the other hand are just plain throat punching teams right now... I hope they run out of steam as the year goes on.

Nah, it was a good game, and as much as people complained about Smyly, he fought without his best stuff and gave the team a fighting chance to win. Almost did too.

Yeah I'm pretty much chalking last night up to the massive delay they had in getting to Cleveland.

Well, it IS baseball. Not all games are won. They made a good bid. I liked HotRod's quote when it was tied up, "this team just doesn't quit". It's true. Those outfits they were wearing is a sign of some great chemistry, they really like each other a lot.

Meanwhile, Texas is wondering what happened to their chemistry.

I knew trouble was coming as soon as Coke made his appearance. Why is he still on the roster?

He actually threw "ok" last night, be nice to have him with his head on straight and able to do setup work once in a while. Gotta give BA credit on showing patience and sticking with a guy, looking for long term returns. I'd have axed him.

Remember the last two seasons, when if we were tied or trailing in the 7th, the game was over? I don't miss that.

I don't know who that guy is, but it isn't Justin Verlander.

Max doing his job and hanging in there until late. Sometimes that's what starters have to do.
