We're small at every position; once they changed the rules we weren't going to be a great defensive team. Pastner playing guys so far from the basket didn't help. Pellom was needed and his injuries killed us. Austin and Shaq got run over last night.

A better weight program will help. Hoop Dreams was correct, the new strength coach hire is huge.

If the game was just about making shots, then a team would only need a shooting coach to take the floor. Then the coach can say," They just didn't make shots, that's all there is to it. I am the shooting coach what do you expect" No, there is so many more aspects to a game that play into a win!

I think we are on to something here. The mental aspect of the game and how it is underutilized in this scenario. There is more to this I am sure. I wish Pastner would take owness and be more open (from a standpoint of professing that there are areas where we must develop to be where we want to be). Own it man! We want you to do well....but don't treat us like we are sheeple and we are not on your level of competence.. Saying "It's not a birthright to win 20 games" Was a shot that I feel deserved an apology! You have $2.68 million damn reasons to win 20 games! $2.678 Mil or whatever is not a birthright either....And I usually don't get into anyones finances or $$$$....But I felt that statement that you made was totally uncalled for.....Don't be stubborn and too full of yourself

Cal may have said this, but he also holds a very strong coaching philosophy. If you dont defend and rebound, you don't play.
