247 currently has our class rated at #52... Louisiana Tech is at #35, UTSA at #41, and FAU at #43... Behind Rice is Marshall at #60.

Picked up another 3*. 6'3'' QB Daniel Parr held offers from Miami (FL) and Marshall, but committed to FAU this morning via Twitter. FAU now has one 5*, three 3*, and two 2*. Baffles me that we're rated #3 in CUSA recruiting; although most CUSA programs have stepped up big time with their recruiting efforts so far!

The trick for all of us is to hang on to all these recruits. These kids still have their whole senior season ahead of them, and likely more offers coming their way despite their early commit status.

Today, we got Riley Ferguson, a QB from UT that apparently was one of the favorites for the starting position this year.

He was a 3* recruit, ranked the 23rd best QB in the 2013 class on Rivals.

Tech's effort is nothing short of excellent so far. When you consider that Tulane have moved up a conference and the progress LaLa have made, for Tech to currently be so far ahead of the other G5 Louisiana teams, they must really be doing something well.

Who do you usually compete with for recruits and is this (next) year a particularly good year for Louisiana high schools?

i think a lot of prospects are excited w/ the hire of Manny Diaz

Runners picked up safety Austin Jupe, transfer from Baylor. He is a former 3* recruit out of East Central HS, San Antonio. He will sit out this year and have 3 years of eligibility. Very good athlete.
