Some Vol fans in full meltdown.

Very, very good hire by Auburn. Vol fans should be upset, their average season this year caused them to lose out of being able to hire a much better coach. Plus, Auburn will be much better than TN in a 1-2 seasons after this hire.

What about show cause and all of that blah blah blah.

He'll be gone in two years to a better job. The Auburn basketball job is a graveyard, and he knows it. All he needs to do is go down there and win, and jump to the best opportunity that's an upgrade.

$14.7 million over 6 years.. doesn't sound like he'll be going anywhere for a while

College contracts arent worth the paper they're written on. Unless he has some sort of a Petrino like buyout in his contract, hell win and run. 2.4 a year, you dont think if he wins and gets non traditional auburn to the ncaa's and a better program offers him 4 he wont run?

He will be spending at least 3 seasons at Auburn based on his buyout.

Are there any stipulations to that as far as teams or a shot at the NBA? Most contracts have buyouts and ways around them. Bobby Petrino had buyouts at Louisville, Atlanta, Arkansas WKU and now Louisville again. If he's there two years and the Hornets want him, he gone.

Well there was the little issue of asking recruits' parents to lie, not "recognizing" his own home in the pictures, claiming to not know who the person in that picture was (it was his assistant coaches wife).

Note to Pearl: If the NCAA officials ask where the picture was taken, they already know.

You just can't make up any better material…so it wasn't just lying, it was conspiracy, amnesia, etc. LOL

He did what his boss and attorneys said to do. It was dumb but it wasn't Calipari or Kelvin Sampson bad. Ya gotta think to if his compliance guy was the lead investigator in the case he had to sign off on it.
