I believe we have turned down the CIT/CBI in the past) and we aren't Indiana. I really wish I knew more about the costs involved. I believe hosting can cost a bunch, money we don't have. I would like to know if travel expenses are covered or if that would cost us money as well.

Have they really been "Indiana" since they fired Bobby Knight? Maybe that why we didn't play in the CBI several years ago. Maybe that was Chris' thinking, we're UALR. We don't play in the CBI.

I am sure money was not the problem at Indiana.

This was for last season (not the current season)-

School officials announced Wednesday that the Hoosiers average attendance for 19 home games was 17,412 — breaking the previous mark of 17,148, set in 2001-02. Assembly Hall's official seating capacity is 17,472. (looks pretty close to a sell-out every game.)

Sound awfully familiar: "We are the Razorbacks. We don't play in-state teams."

ASU and UALR have both turned down bids to the tournament. I doubt we ever get selected again because of it. Not that its a big loss.

I'm not sure if it's a big loss or not. But, I think it would be a positive for our programs to know that if we won around 20 games we would be going to postseason. Realistically, its going to be hard for a Sun Belt team to have an RPI good enough to get in the NCAA or NIT. We've been right there (90 RPI or better) a couple of times in the past 10 years, but got snubbed. So unless you win the crapshoot which is the tournament, the CBI or CIT is the best chance that a Sun Belt school has for post season. The CIT was set up for midmajors. Midmajors, on our level, shouldn't be snubbing it.

Its hard to convince our administration its worth bidding to host a basketball postseason game. Not with so little interest in basketball in Jonesboro right now.

You guys used to have great support for basketball. Now you have trouble drawing 10% of what you draw for football. Seems like you would have a much easier time drawing, than we do, since you have a pretty large, solid core of fans that support football. We have a very small group of solid fans and pretty much have to count on bored hog fans, casual fans, and folks who have nothing better to do on a Saturday night to get any type of decent crowd. Seems like your basketball attendance starting dropping through the Nutt years, but has continued to plummet. Brady hasn't really been a bad coach, but he hasn't lived up to his hype and salary.

Brady's problem is that after you go to a Final Four in the SEC, folks expect you to go undefeated in the Belt.

When you can take major program to a Sweet 16 or a Final Four, doesn't mean that the same coach could take a Sun Belt team and set the world on fire. A good young assistant might just take a Sun Belt team as far as a former big name coach. Just thinking..............
