I'm not really familiar with how the match ups are done for B1G/ ACC Challenge, but I'm curios if anyone thinks UMD will get matched up against Duke or NC?

ESPN gets most of the say. So, yes, I expect UMD vs. Duke.

I think that there are two parts to this equation. 1) They generally try to use last season rankings and throw in a "name" vs "name" program". So if the Terps continue to play the way they areā€¦then no, it isn't going to happen for a while. I hope they turn it around soon but we'll see what happens. 2) While this is pure speculation I would fully expect Coach K, Roy Williams and Debbie Yow (NC St AD) to lobby hard against it. If ESPN says they are are going to play then they would also lobby to play at their place and not a College Park. This also may be true to a lesser extent for UVA and Wake. While this is pure speculation on my part, I would be more shocked if it didn't happen than if it did. So, I expect that the Terps will not have a home game against any of the core ACC teams for at least 5-10 years.

I think UMD/UVA will be likely. I doubt UVA is pleased that our rivalry ended with a victory for the Terps. They'll want a rematch sooner rather than later.

1. it comes down to what is the best matchups.

so if duke is coming into the the season as one of the top teams in the rankings, expect them to get thrown with the best big ten team

2. we did see a pitt/psu matchup so who knows
