Mitigate the hell out of that in the small print of the contract, but get a guy in here with a proven track record. Toughness, discipline, coaching.

The same thing was true about Calipari...We knew he was damaged goods when we hired him.

People here don't want Pearl because he coached at UT. Memphis has been the ugly stepchild to that university for so long we cant see any logic on the subject. Pearl is head and shoulders above Josh as a coach, it isn't even funny. I'd take anyone over Josh as far as just preparing a team to compete. Keep in mind I could give a crap on how many kids graduate from Memphis with a degree in basket weaving. I just don't care about baskets that much.

I would hire Pearl in a heartbeat. I hope it happens and fast.

I will say this... Josh showed some cojones in the press conference just now. He and Geron have both just said that they have to find a way to win 2 games in the big dance this week. GJ guaranteed a sweet sixteen and Josh followed that up by saying we have to do it, and will find a way. Might be foolish, but at least he's showing some fire.

The fact that this many long time, generally reasonable fans are this over Josh says alot. He needs 2 more wins very badly. If not, I honestly think his days are numbered because next year looks tough. Better to do it now.

I'd say its much higher than that. Pearl would be perfect for us. He's way less of a scumbag than Cal, and we adored the ground he walked on.

5 years and no s16's is an awesome job? He's done good in a lot of areas but on the court? Com'n man.

Bad thing is they'll have to face a 1 seed more than likely and that ain't gonna happen as far as winning goes.

I'm steadily approaching a point where I don't care either way. I like Josh and think he can can succeed, but at the same time I'm tired of the same old **** year after year.
