Given the news that have been coming out of F1 these past few weeks one has to wonder if Gene Hass' desire to start a US F-1 team is anything more than a pipe dream and a waste of money.

It was reported that Mercedes spent over $500 MILLION this year to develop their championship winning car.

On the other end of the spectrum Caterham F1 has had their shop raided and their spare parts seized by officials in Great Britain. The team told the driver not to crash in practice or they could not make the race. Then pulled the car early due to the fear of damaging the car because it would mean they could not make the next race.
