I assume he made it. I caught the end of your game on the radio after leaving the arena. You had the ball down 1 with a chance to win, just like we did. Neither of us could make the shot. We lost the bye to you guys, because we couldn't make a shot at the end. We actually had two chances. Missed with about 6 seconds left and then got the ball out of bounds with 3.6 seconds left and missed again. I guess that's how the ball bounces. Maybe we'll get a better bounce when we play ULM again on Thursday.
Id recommend playing Troy instead of ULM. It would be strange if both you guys and UTA showed up to play ULM.
We blew a 7 point lead in the final two minutes tonight. Missed Free throws and the inability to stop anyone...its killed us all year.
Thanks. I just realized that. I assumed Troy had the tie-breaker because they beat GaSt. Didn't realize until now that ULM swept Troy. Not sure who I would rather have played. Both beat us at home. We don't match up particularly well with anyone with our best player gone for the year.
Two ways to look at it:
ULM would give you a really physical game that could drain you guys headed into a matchup with a physical ASU.
Troy won't beat you up down low, but they also are more likely to get freakishly hot from three and leave you with no chance.
Either way, the Friday game will be really physical, and the winner will have to turn around and play Georgia State the next afternoon. I guess in a way, ASU matches up better with GSU than most teams do, but we don't match up terribly well with Troy...and the UALR series...is well...the UALR series.
If we play you on Friday, it will be a hard fought emotional game that probably won't leave either team in great shape to play GaSt.

Assuming the UALR team that graced the Convocation Center this year, doesn't accidentally board the bus for New Orleans by mistake, I would tend to agree.
