The Lou - Big. Focused Cards remeber USF.
Cinci - Loss, if they play the same defense(OSU is about 50 million times the offensive team that VT is) could be an extremely close game, and upset possible. I'll call this one 21-14 VT. Good luck Bearcatas.
Rutgers - Big
Pitt - Big
UCONN - Close win.
WVU - Good win.
Cuse - Close one. Hopefully a win.
USF - Win.

I agree with you, though I don't think depth is the issue with this Bearcats team, but offense. The offense is keeping the defense on the field to long. If the offense can stay on the field more, and get some sustained drives this defense can hold up for just about the entire game.

Clean sweep for the league, huh? I love your optimism, especially about the UC game 04-bow

I didn't want to predict that but I love all of our chances, including the 'Cats! 02-13-banana

Quote:What's the deal with WVU having zero sacks on the season (dead last in the nation)? I watched most of the Maryland game and didn't really notice the lack of any sacks, but is the D line a concern for WVU fans when they play better teams? I understand WVU plays an unusually high number in the secondary, but is it the norm for the Mountaineers to not record many sacks over the past few seasons?

--- Part of the problem is the formation...the 3-3-5 stack with WVU plays does have some positives but one of the negatvies is you need to blitz in order to get pressure...3DL vs 5OL are not good odds

-- Because WVU is really breaking in a lot of new guys in the secondary...they have been relunctant to blitz a lot and leave the young guys in one on one coverage etc...

-- Part of the problem to has also been WVUs D-Line.....This area was thought to be a strenght when spring practice started last yr but has thus far been a disappointment...WVU already has a few starters that have won there jobs between the Marshall game and now so this is very much a work in progress..They looked much better against Maryland...although not sacked the UMD QB hat to bet the ball away quickly on several occasions

Thanks for the response. Sounds like it's some of both as far as scheme and needing some improvement. I'd expect they will get better over the next month or so, although ECU is probably the best passing team you'll play until November.

49-3 WVU? SHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeT we aren't Maryalnd for JHC sake. 03-hissyfit lmfao

I'm thinking WVU 45-35 maybe..... it all depends on the ECU run vs. Pass mix... Running looked good alst week but Memphis DL \= WVU DL. But our passing game has gotten a lot better.... can't jsut cover AA all the time now. Not sure how good the WVU CBs are (not to say the aren't good but...) I htink you will still run on us though 03-hissyfit

You arent Maryland, I agree But WV anit Memphis. WV by 3 touchdowns.

Ohh if ECU were to win the game it wouldn't bea 3 td margin... most likely a last second Field goal or td.

Also I'd like to give props for folks saying ECU can get up to teh 30s on WVU.... it could happen lmfao

I think you are just teasing, but I put the home teams in bold and the Big East teams in blue, for the sake of reference.

A new rush defensive end, redshirt freshman James Ingram, is expected to help out in the sack department. He almost had a couple against Maryland. I figure somebody will get one against ECU. Let's all crowd around the tube on Saturday afternoon to find out.

Kansas State
I obviously meant to type Louisville 35 - Kansas State 17 above. Not even the Jayhawks deserve two beatdowns in one day.
