I got it - thanks. Really good game between you'll and UTEP. Liked how you used your quickness and surprised on how well you rebounded against a really long UTEP team.

Charlotte has withstood the initial charge from La Tech.. let's see if they can get it close.

Unfortunately, i'm off to bed, so I won't catch the finish...

XACLY....our boys played one helluva game...I can't help but chest pound and give props to ctf and what he did with all the turmoil this year....

Our school needed this win in so many ways.....and they showed up tonight....one of my favorite games in my viewing lifetime...

I know the Miners are disappointed.....and I promise I'm not rubbing it in.

We have all the wrong guys shooting 3's early and without Massey I doubt we will go very far in this tourney. Up early though.

We should be up by more than 10 but I will take it. Without Massey we are really thin in the post and Anderson can't buy a bucket even though he shot about 10... Could get interesting in the 2nd half with our foul trouble with the post players.

Congrats USM. Classy team and classy fans. I was 'fortunate' enough to be seated between the USM pep band and the USM fan section. All were gracious and humble.

Who in the hell is your conditioning coach? I thought your team was here for a bodybuilding competition instead of hoops!

RPI for Southern Miss at 30 after win over UTEP. Loss drops UTEP to 102 and takes away two of Golden Eagles' Top 100 wins. #CUSA

Still a chance for them to move back in based on other games in the next couple of days. I've got my fingers crossed.

Buffalo loses, UTEP up to 101.

That is the biggest factor in our turn around on both the men's and women's side. Its sad that our hoops teams had a brand spanking new weight room underneath rgc but had to go to the fieldhouse cause the assistants assigned to basketball didn't want to come across campus.
When the football change (fedora leaving) happened, the thing that hurt football more than anything was the absolute buffoon Pappy buttermilk brought in for s and c.
DT saw the guy working with football and declared, I don't want him ANYWHERE NEAR my players. So for the first time in history basketball had its own s and c coach. We happened to lose that one last summer but got really lucky with a replacement.

White and company really doing all they can to let UNCC back in the game - some of the quick 3's by poor shooters are really questionable

Tech up by 15 with 3 mins to go. I think y'all are safe.

Top Four, it is. All won by double-digits, but USM, and they were facing, by far, the toughest team and the crowd.

And, it's the way it should be.

Congrats to La tech. Seemed like the Niners might get back into it at several points and then all of a sudden La tech scores several baskets. La tech is clearly just a better team, and the Niners didn't have much chance when shots weren't falling like they did last night (i.e. we needed a hot shooting night to make up for other deficiencies).

Regardless of all the naysayers being in the top 30 will definitely put you on the committee's radar and a win over Tech would probably give you a top 30 RPI even if you lose in the championship game. Just food for thought.

As expected right at 30 now.

so we need La Tech to do what they need to do tonight, and finish off with a win... La Tech wins, and we might get that 29 RPI before the end of the night.

Yep, you ended the day at 29.

Assuming you don't win the tournament best case for at large is beat Tech and get MT in the final. Rough estimate here but that would put your RPI right at 28 (all things being equal with the other games), which is what we were last year when we got our at-large.
