Somebody explain to me how the best defensive player, who is tied for second in the league(with Mickens) in assists per game, is at best the 11th best player. Newman gets no respect for her value to the team and as an offensive player by the rest of the league.

Yeah, I thought of that, too. However, I think Def POY will mean much more to her than Second-Team CAA would have.

Yeah, I thought of that, too. However, I think Def POY will mean much more to her than Second-Team CAA would have.

No doubt we have an outstanding team, but without Newman, the girls would not be where they are. She is the team leader and knows how to get the most out of those KB puts on the court with her.

I might be wrong, but Hall seemed to have lost just a little as the season wore on. I hope this little break will bring her back to her mid-season form.
