The JMU WLax team is currently ranked #19th. After beating #5 Loyola (MD) and #9 Penn State, you have to imagine that is going to go up rather high as long as they keep on winning.

Shoot even with what they've already done they might be a top 15 team next week. They play at #10 Virginia on the 19th and #2 Maryland at home on the 22nd if they win those (not saying it will be easy) they could easily be a top 10 team after that......

I've maintained for years that JMU would have a successful men's team very quickly if they wanted to go that route.

If the administration decides to go against FBS and stay in the CAA, the least they can do is sponsor a D1 men's lacrosse team. We'd still be Title IX compliant if we added another 22 men's scholarships.

They have UConn, at Storrs, on Sunday. I'll be able to take that one in. UConn is 1-4, losing 11-7 to UNH their last game.
