BTW, UK's 67-72 loss to South Carolina had one of the funkiest stat lines I have seen lately. Kentucky's line was:

FG's, 14 of 52, 27% (!)
3pt, 6 of 17, 35%
FT, 33 of 42, 78%

UK is playing with no heart. WW Wes has gotten Cal the players but he's squandering them.

I love it. They look like they're headed to the NIT again, and you know that the UK fans are starting to sharpen their knives.

It's hard to win in college basketball with a bunch of freshmen, regardless of how talented they are. Every once in a while things will work out perfectly, but I think what we are seeing the past couple of years out of Kentucky is going to be more of the norm than the exception.

I think Kentucky will still make the Big Dance. But who would have guessed Calipari doesn't know how to act?

Oh, there's zero doubt Kentucky will be in the tournament. But when you always play with freshmen, you will get erratic results. Some years will be better than others, but unless you get the perfect group of guys together, you're not likely to have great success.

The problem is he isn't developing a bench. He can get 5 guys that can beat anybody if they play together for long enough. Without a bench to back them up because those players can't all play for 40 minutes.

They also don't have the cohesion and team idea that a team of seniors would have.

Great thing is I've heard that Cal's next recruiting class at Kentucky will be his least talented yet. I suspect he is about to jump to the NBA. Just need the NCAA investigators to start sniffing around.

Oh, I'm certain that if I were to go over there and look, the article has been posted and there are five pages worth of what a slimy so-and-so Cal is. I'm equally certain that a little research would find about four pages worth of the same postersdefending him while he was running the same act there.

If you want to see the exact opposite of Kentucky, look at what's happening at St. Louis this year.

UKY wins over Wisconsin to face UCONN for the title. Both UCONN basketball teams - male and female - are in position to win NCAA NCs this season. The WBB Final Four tips off Sunday.

But at least it's not an all-SEC championship game. That would've been pretty grim, but it was what I was expecting.
