Keep winning is the main thing. Don't look at seeding right now. Memphis needs 2 huge wins this week to really get in the conversation for a 5 seed, but it is entirely possible. There are also plenty of opportunities in the AAC tourney to pick up quality wins.
I think that would be a very favorable match-up for us. Arkansas wants to get up and down the court but really does not have a consistent go to scorer. Shaq and Nichols would cause serious match-up issues for Arkansas. They have some good players, but none are really consistent. I see no way in the world their guards could keep up with ours.
I think our ceiling is a four seed if we win out (4 more quality wins, one meh win). I think our most likely seed in two weeks is a 7 but would much prefer a 6.

I admit that I really have no idea how they make rankings, I honestly believe it is as often about the name on the jersey and past year performances as it is current year resumes only. However, if we won out we have wins over, Ok State, Louisville (twice), Gonzaga, Cincy, SMU, and then two more over some mix of (Louisville, UCONN, SMU, and Cincy). On top of that we would be AAC champions. That would be 8 really high quality wins, 25-7 record, and AAC champs. IMO, that would be worthy of something better than a 4 seed, but who really knows what the selection committee will do.

As of today, if we are an 8 seed i would love to see all of the resumes for the 28-30 teams with better ones...

Playing winner of 1 Arizona / 16 Weber State in Lunardi's update.
You take a very very overrated UK team relying too much on untested freshmen. Add a weak bench coach and a weak SEC suddenly deserves 4 bids because that overrated teams loses a few conference games. Holy Crapola on a cracker Batman.

You think Robic is a bad bench coach?
You got to hand it to Cal's skills. A bench coach he is not, but he is great at time management. He had himself tossed from the game after there was no way in hell they could win, but stayed long enough to ensure Robic wouldn't be able to win the game either.
