Bad game by us. Couldn't overcome poor FT shooting and La Techs inhuman 3pt effort. Officiating didn't help. Tons of missed traveling calls.

Yet another ugly, ugly game from UAB, but we finally played a team that played just a bit less ugly than us

Officiating didn't make us go 9% from 3. And they cooled off enough in the second to make thie First half performance negligible.

We had plenty of chances to do something. It wasn't officiating and it wasn't their threes. It was our lack of threes and lack of fire.

We finally played like crap against a good team.

I agree MB, we had multiple opportunities to win this one, but we wouldn't walk through the door when la tech opened it.

RE: La Tech Confidential game thread
Damn we had a lot of injuries in this game.

Ill spin this as a sign of progress that without CJ and with injuries to all of our key players that we were able to keep it close.

RE: La Tech Confidential game thread
Lack of effort? Outrebound them by 12, including 18 offensive boards. How about 1-13 3pt shots? Less than 60 percent from ft line. Nothing kills momentum like missed fts.
Frazier had a bad night shooting no doubt but he knows he is one of very few on this team that can score the ball. With Washington out even more pressure on him. Even if Swings leg was broke it wouldn't have made much difference. He is such a non factor anyway. Sorry, i know he is everyones favorite. Great kid im sure. Average ballplayer. Haase is playing with house money this year. Just wait. Great things are coming. Then Haase will leave for a better job. 03-lmfao

We couldn't hit water if we fell out of a boat, but I thought our effort was fine.

And CJ hurt his shoulder early and never got back in. That's probably as big a reason for the loss as all the missed free throws.

RE: La Tech Confidential game thread
Someone who saw the game might answer my inquiry. Were any of our injuries possibly due to physical play by La Tech perhaps taking advantage of our (by now well known) inability to make them pay for it at the foul line? I'm not saying they tried to deliberately hurt our players, but they may have been more physical in challenging us and that may have worn down our team members during the game aggravating existing aches and pains.

It is similar to a football team trying to tire out the other team's defense so they can be more easily defeated in the fourth quarter.

Is your desire to disagree with me so strong, that you don't pay attention to what is written. You question me saying lack of effort, but give serval examples of said lack of effort. And why the attack on Swing. Just because you think he's everybody's favorite. I've never seen any one say he is their favorite. If anything, he has gotten a lot of grief because of his play.

Quit being an ass
