"Quiet" winning plays yesterday...
Russ Smith had a steal and breakaway- only Dixon had a chance to reach him- Dixon, with 4 fouls- avoided contact- staying in the game.

After Crawford's massive three- he stole a rebound after Louise missed a shot. Heady hustle play.

Offensive board by King early in the game.

Even with a bad decision on a missed layup, buying minutes with Wilson was huge- as it bought minutes for foul troubled guards- who came through late...able to play.

Good observations, Mimi. That was a chess game played on a basketball court.

GJ's one handed rebound while holding off Harrell after Chris Jones 3 pt attempt was also a huge play that hasn't been mentioned.

huge decision that a lot of people have overlooked in overanalyzing the game

I thought Chris's rebound very late in the game was huge. Could have been a jump ball but Chris ripped it away quickly. It was a huge play.

Obviously, Geron's steal from Smith was crucial.

I also thought the in and out missed 3 by Louisville when they were up 6, which was rebounded by Austin, could have been a killer for us but thankfully it didn't fall.

Geron's defense on Smith, steal and layup to tie.

To me the biggest plays or plays was the ability of Chris and Dixon to play a lot of the second half with 4 fouls without fouling out. That takes major major major discipline

That was the one biggest play of the game, but hardly a quiet one. 04-cheers

Not to mention Geron played about 8 or 9 minutes in the first half with 2 fouls while guarding Hancock or Russ Smith. We would have been in hot water if he had picked up his 3rd. The biggest difference in our D on Russ Smith in the 2nd half was Geron having the ability to play aggressive without worrying about fouls.

Crawford's 3 pointer at 65-65 was huge.

To me this is one of the biggest plays of the season.

Everything on the line. One of the best players in the league with the ball. And Geron stared him in the eye and locked him up. His D will take him a long way.

It wasn't a winning play, and I hate to credit Louisville with anything, but that alley-oop was amazing.

i really thought wilson looked pretty good considering the amount of court time he's seen this season.

I still can't get over how if Hancock's 3 goes down we lose, probably no questions asked. That was a major, major break. I thought he was way too far out, so I wasn't all that concerned with him firing away, but when it spun around the rim I almost pissed myself.

My heart stopped. Then it started it again. I thought it was down.

I think you are talking about after a missed free throw on this one? If so, my wife was cracking up at me and the outburst of different emotions that ensued from that play. I celebrated the miss, groaned about the offensive board, sighed and then cheered wildly after CC took the ball away. Haha, that play was awesome.

Good stuff.

The plays like Crawford's three or Geron's game tying layup were LOUD plays- always try and find the subtle ones that are more easily overlooked.

Yes- I do not remember precisely which miss it was when Crawford stole that rebound- after Jones' free throw miss or otherwise- but THAT play was great- we know Chris can get hot and make threes...but that was a floor burn type play.

No question- looking the opposite way, Hancock's miss was quietly great- although our kids had a ton of near misses- Shaq and Austin especially- but hung in there and made plays.
