Well then, let me try and explain a bit further.

It is nothing more than my opinion, but I think the popularization of such a negative label is counter productive.

Often times such labels are used indiscriminately. Seems that many now see fans who disagree with them as miserables as opposed to simply fans with different viewpoints.

I think to refer in generalities to people who exhibit certain behavior gives people an option as to whether they desire to behave that way or not.

Critique and criticism are not the same thing as being a troll, agitator, miserable, or malcontent.

Don't worry, there isn't a single power conference that wants anything to do with Memphis. They're exactly where they were when CUSA first started. Just a crappy commuter college in a crime ridden city. No fans, no money, nothing. They play their home football games in an outdated stadium that probably should've been torn down a decade ago. 0 titles in the only sport that isn't a total laughingstock over there and their coaches routinely put their program on probation because otherwise nobody could win there.

So if they really get that much out of beating us then good for them. It's been obvious since ~2004 the two programs have been heading in completely opposite directions. To us they're just another team on the schedule to us while we're their Super Bowl, and thank heavens we're not stuck in this pathetic league much longer. Too bad Pitino extended the series with them, I was really hoping we were forever done with their crap.
