RE: Conference power rankings
I think RPIforecast.com is more accurate

1 Big 12 Conference 0.5885 98-26 (0.7903) 1 0.5309
2 Big Ten Conference 0.5821 120-32 (0.7895) 5 0.5180
3 Pac 12 Conference 0.5764 115-32 (0.7823) 12 0.5095
4 Big East Conference 0.5722 94-31 (0.7520) 6 0.5177
5 Atlantic Coast Conference 0.5643 137-53 (0.7211) 2 0.5245
6 Atlantic 10 Conference 0.5619 126-53 (0.7039) 9 0.5133
7 Southeastern Conference 0.5555 123-52 (0.7029) 4 0.5198
8 American Athletic Conference 0.5496 88-35 (0.7154) 25

I rather not think about that --- and still, if and when Temple come around and if Larry Brown remains at SMU the AAC top schools will stay decent enough to counter most of that RPI hit. **IF**

Sure the RPI hit has to be a consideration but more than that, I think, is that we're losing two in conference games that are very exciting for our fans and replacing those with teams that no one really gives two shats about. A real let down.

You guys will be fine. Temple is at a historical low and there is no way they will be as bad as they are now next year. Same story with USF who has no where to go but up next year. Houston has talent they just need a coach.

Also consider that Tulsa believe or not has consistently been one of the best programs in conference USA. And if they beat a good UTEP team on Thursday they will pretty much have secured first or second place in CUSA this year.

Also I think recruits really needed to see that the American was going to be a decent basketball conference this year. Playing in the American is going to be a strong recruiting tool for schools like ECU and Tulane.

That was obviously a troll. And a bad one at that.

Tulsa's RPI right now is 108. I'm not sure our RPI has ever been worse than 125 in the last 20 years and the majority of that time its been in the Top100. We let the Wojik experiment go way too long, but I think Danny has us on the upswing.
