He sounds like he spent an appropriate time in class to be able to successfully face the world after college, with or without an NFL career. What more could we ( and he ) want in a UAB graduate. Congratulations Mr Ike!, You make us PROUD to be Blazers.

As the point was made in the movie "Bull Durham", cliches are useful to help you prevent saying the wrong thing or saying the right thing in a wrong way.(Remember Joe Namath - too drunk to remember his cliches - and his infamous interview with Suzy Kolbert?) No one is expecting any athlete to spout off on the "true meanings of life" or the Theory of Relativity. They just want space fillers so they can get on to the next question or the next interview.
