CLEVELAND, OH - The Mid-American Conference announced on Tuesday that the University of Toledo men’s basketball regular-season finale vs. Eastern Michigan on Saturday, March 8 will be televised on Time Warner Cable’s Sports Channel. Tip-off time for the contest is set for 2:00 p.m.

The matchup vs. the Eagles will be the Rockets’ sixth home game televised by Time Warner Cable this season.

Toledo (21-4, 9-3 MAC) currently is tied for the best overall record in the Mid-American Conference with Akron and Western Michigan. The Rockets will visit arch-rival Bowling Green on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 9:00 p.m. before hosting Ball State on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 6:00 p.m

So i take it the Akron Kent St. game got picked for E$PN2, like it does every frickin' year.

Yes, Kent-Akron will be on ESPN2 on Friday, March 7 at 7 p.m.

Coach K actually said on the radio show last night that he thinks a Saturday afternoon game will be better than a Friday night game. He said that it is tough to get a good crowd on a Friday night considering there is high school basketball and other events plus the students will be gone for Spring Break. He feels a Saturday afternoon game will be better for families.

I was surprised your game against EMU wasn't picked up for ESPN. You guys certainly deserved a nationally televised home game this year.

Bullsh!t. I wanted ESPN at our place, for once. Savage Arena needs to be nationally showcased, it's that good. Time Warner Cable doesn't count as TV.

Yeah, but ESPN would probably have us playing at 7 in the morning.
