Can we bring him in right now? He would really open things up for WN and James White. I have a feeling we're going to like the kid. I also think the #2 Juco team in the country, could probably compete quite well in the Sun Belt.

RE: Reid update
He is not playing every game, and I don't know why. Injuries? I cannot imagine the coach would keep a shooter like that on the bench. Hope it is not disciplinary issues.

I hope it's not injuries. But, if it is, he would fit right in here.

I believe the coach is a friend of Steve's so I'm sure Steve knows what's going on with the young man.04-cheers

According to Steve the kid was scoring a bunch early in the season and then did have some kind of injury. Don't recall what it was, but it wasn't anything serious. He is fine now, but apparently is not playing a ton of minutes primarily because there are 7 or 8 DI players on the Southern Idaho team.

They lost in the regional tournament, so their season is over. Reid was playing again. They ended up 27-5. He averaged 8.9 ppg, shot 45.2% from the arc and 84.4% from the line.

Just hard to get a good read (no pun intended) on the kid. He obviously can shoot the ball. That shouldn't change as he moves from Juco to DI. But he averaged less than 10 points a game. Why? Injuries? A lot of DI talent on the team? Unselfish player? Passes up a good shot to give someone else a better shot? Who knows, but I'm looking forward to seeing the kid come in here this summer.

I really think we have some good, athletic players coming back with Josh, James, Mareik, and Devonte. Adding a shooter to go along with Ben would really help us. I'm starting to believe that Marius can be a pretty decent undersized 4 in this league. We really need for Gus to step it up next year- primarily stay healthy and learn to make the two-footer consistently. You know you will always get a 100% effort from the young man. His missed shots are certainly not do to a lack of effort.
