Republicans object to Obama easing immigration rules for terror supporters

Robert Goodlatte, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and part of the GOP House leadership team working on immigration reform.

He and other Republican lawmakers argued that the administration is relaxing rules designed by Congress to protect the country from terrorists.

And Missouri GOP Sen. Roy Blunt on "Fox News Sunday" repeated the concerns of fellow Republicans and others about Obama repeatedly saying that "he can use his pen and his telephone" to work around Congress.

The change is one of Obama's first actions on immigration since he pledged during his State of the Union address last month to use more executive directives.

Why bs reason is he giving for doing this?

to be the most awesome election campaigners in history, this administration certainly has a tin ear on immigration. The optics on this one suck. Does anyone know what they're ostensibly trying to accomplish, or how they're selling it?

Just stupid.

And you tend to read the same anecdote about some Iranian guy who's citizenship is being held up because he handed out pamphlets when he was a teenager.

the law they are unilaterally altering is another one of those laws passed after 9/11 that the obamites seem to hate for that reason alone. their pathological hatred for george bush mindlessly compels them to reverse everything the bushies touched, whether it makes sense, or not.
