BTW, guys, the one loss which upset me the most wasn't Ohio or Akron or whatever but MIAMI.

They are the ONLY team with a LOSING record which we have lost to.

The teams which we have lost to are stunning for a MAC team: 'Cuse, Kentucky, Duke, UMass, Purdue, Akron (2), Ohio, etc. Hell, even Buffalo has a good Sagarin (108 out of 350+ D-I schools) - they are better than their reputation.

Those teams have awesome combined records.

And looking at the numbers, further:

Are two worst conference losses were by 10 point each.

Four of our conference wins were by 19, 13, 12 and 17 points.

We are only a few points from a very nice record.

This is a good team. 03-idea

Thanks again Mr Justifying bad play.
We had the lead at the half we had a good lead with 3 minutes left in the game at home! Good teams don't lose games like these they find ways to win! Bad teams lose games like these. We had 6 seniors now only 5 this team should win 75% or more of its games and win every home game! This is average team at best.

You're the one claiming this is a great team only losing because other teams are better. You tell me!

Agree with S-Fan, unfortunately this is an average team with GOOD potential. It is deficient in too many areas to be considered "good."

You don't fire coaches for "average" seasons, so we can look forward to several more years with Murph. Yay! This season will go down as a wasted opportunity.

We'd all love our football team to be consistently average, we'd be going to bowl games in that case! But I think we ALL expected much more from this squad.

RE: GameDay: Kent
Then your expectations were probably way too high. I thought 13-5 in conference was doable, but is probably out of the question now, as I don't expect this team to win out. However, if we split with Toledo, all the rest of the games are against the bottom of the barrel and WMU (who we throttled already). 12-6 is a legit possibility. Winning 8 of our last 9 games would make the bad taste of the MAC East losses go away. Let's see if this team can do it.

Let's see where this team is 30 days hence.

I expect us to go 5 - 3 or 6 -2 the rest of the way...

Potentially, we could (should) lose just 1 more game (at UT) but we enjoy giving games away...let's see if we've learned anything... Big if.
