Great game for UCONN. UCONN's offense looked sharp. UCONN's D needs to play better. D is suppose to be our strength this year. Overall, it was a fun game. I hope rest of the BE win in the next couple of days.

In the past, attendance has been a little less when we play a game on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Families/students like to go away/home for the long weekend, so for the past couple of years, UConn has moved this game to Thursday night.

Ironically, the game still wasn't a sellout. The first non-sellout in many games for UConn.

The mentality of big time football isn't quite there yet with the UConn faithful. They arrive late, leave early and just don't have the football mindset of the big boys down south, and may never have it, quite frankly. We are in the northeast, afterall.

The positive is more UCONN sold many student season tickets. I really hope they lower the price and sell more tickets to students. I rather see less revenue and create a better football atomsphere than seeing bunch onf grandmas and grandpas at the game. UCONN students can make the game a great place.

I think the no sellout is probably due to date and the fact it was against D-1AA and on Thursday night. I think UCONN fans are expecting more and they will be there when big time opponent shows up (Ex. WVU). It is time they also lower the price a bit because I think their pricing is too high.

Anyway, UCONN sold 30K season tickets and it would be nice if we can sell out the entire season in the future. If we go to a big bowl this year, I think it is definitely possible.

Students have to pay $49 for a student season ticket. $49 might not be a lot, but it is to a kid. I had less than $100 in my bank account most of the time while I was at UCONN. I believe we already sold over 7000 student tickets and demand has been very strong. If we make it free, I am sure we can easily fill the place with students. Students are by far the best fans than those old foggies at the game.

That being said, UCONN is charging way high for all the donations, priority points and all that crap. We are one of the highest ticket prices in the BE and on the upper end in the country. For example, if we have prices like RU or Cincy, the place would be packed.

Students pay $49 for 7 home games ($7 a game), which includes transportation from the Storrs campus to East Hartford and back.
