Tulane's new president -- sound familiar?
He is currently the dean of an Ivy League law school. He was born in Philadelphia in the mid-1950s, went to college and law school in the Ivies, and was a law review editor while in law school.

He begins his term July 1.

And Michigan recently went to a similar well to replace their highly popular retiring president. Alumnus of one Ivy, senior academic position (provost) at another -- but flanking an MD/PhD from a private non-Ivy and a deanship at a big state university:
