Love Friday night games early in the season. Leave work early, start tailgating 4-5 hours before kickoff.

2014 Rice Football Schedule
Aug. 30 Notre Dame South Bend, IN
Sept. 6 Open
Sept. 13 Texas A&M College Station, TX
Sept. 20 Old Dominion Rice Stadium
Sept. 27 Southern Miss Hattiesburg, MS
Oct. 4 Hawaii Rice Stadium
Oct. 11 Army West Point, NY
Oct. 18 Open
Oct. 25 North Texas Rice Stadium
Nov. 1 FIU Miami, FL
Nov. 8 UTSA Rice Stadium
Nov. 15 Marshall Huntington, WV
Nov. 21 UTEP Rice Stadium
Nov. 29 Louisiana Tech Ruston, LA

Are you all going to exploit the 13 game rule when playing Hawaii?

To get the 13th game for playing Hawaii it would have to be at Hawaii.

Dude....that out of conference schedule.....wow.

Yea, we got screwed with Louisville's move to the ACC. They were scheduled to come to Huntington in 2014 but pushed it back a year or two (or may buy it out, ultimately). Nothing we can really do about that one.

I'm going to say this right now. Sans injuries there is absolutely no reason for Marshall to not go undefeated next year.

True. It's a very week schedule.

I think we'll see Marshall win the East and host either Rice or UTSA from the West. North Texas lost a lot of talent.

Rice lost more than anyone else in the conference if you compare on the number of starts and games played by seniors. UTSA lost by far the least. For them it will come down to their new QB. If he's good they will be very solid.

By far? I think FIU lost 6, even if UTSA lost 0, it's still not 'by far'.

We should be much improved next year.

Bailiff has developed a lot of depth over the last couple of years. The backups are good and we'd be disappointed with any less than 7 or 8 wins. This will be the first year in a very long time that we expect to play in a bowl during a "rebuilding year."
