So Far So Good
The old story about the guy who jumped off the 60 story building and when he reaches the 50th floor he says "so far so good", then the 40th and so on. Well thats kind of like recruiting is in my view. We have actually had a decent year if we sign all the players on the rivals board. In comparing our recruits to SMU and Houston in particular, it looks like we are about the same as them when all is said and done.

Burgess was a nice pickup and actually has a chance to be the man, but all freshmen have inititial problems with the speed of the game at the college level and with the looks of the schedule, that won't happen next year. So I think he may be the QB in waiting for a while.

We still didn't get that great "every down" RB we need unless one pops up at the last moment. If we aren't as good there next year right off the bat, I just don't see how we'll be able to run the offense we have had under BB.

I may (if I have time) do a rundown of the TU recruits and compare them with SMU, Houston, Memphis and Tulane after signing day.

Tallgrass uses "Scout" and I hope he could give us input on that as well.

Again, it will be interesting to see the spring game and if there appear to be any changes in the offense. Also, how the new RB, QB look and whether we have a WR corp that can compete in this conference.

RE: So Far So Good
For those of you that have rivals premium, check out the highlights of Chandler Miller from Bixby. He is a dominant lineman. And most of those highlights were against 6A competition. He's between 6-2 and 6-3 and in the 280 lb range and has a 315lb power clean. That is awsome. And he loves to knock defenders down. He had numerous pancakes in the video. In the highlight, he plays offensive center. With a years RS under his belt, I could see him being the next great interior Olineman.

IMO
