Can you believe we shot better from the FT line than UTSA? They came into the game #29 in the country in FT makes. We also shot more FTs than they did, which is something they are not used to as they were #21 in the nation in FT attempts. Dare I say progress.
UTSA 15 - 22 68.2%
ODU 24 - 34 70.6%

I will take 70.6% free-throw shooting from this team every game the rest of the year and twice on Sundays!

The bad part about this is that our percentage was in the 80's range, but petered off at the end when we were missing FT's at clutch time.

ODU hit 7 of their last 8 FTs in the last 2 minutes. That's pretty clutch.

Baker will start for Batten, who's out with a bad arm/shoulder. The task got a little taller.

Actually...twice on SATURDAYs would be better!

Yeah, the guys were clutch at the very end. It was from about the 5 minute mark to about the 3 minute mark, where we went something like 3/8 from the line.

Anyone else notice UTSA's coach throwing little mini tantrums on the sideline? I felt kinda bad for the kids. I though the days of the Bobby Knight esc, throwing stuff and screaming in your face coaching style were over.

Sundays are good, but Thursdays and Saturdays would be better.

ODU was one of only a couple of schools I was really excited about coming to CUSA. Looking forward to watching my Miners on TV at your place.

I was sitting up behind his bench and caught the ripping the jacket off and beating the floor episode. He knows they suck, right? By now, he is probably a favorite customer of his dry cleaners. When the kid got T'd up, I thought he might rip his pants off, too!

The UTEP game will be exciting. You all seem to keep winning despite the odds, and we're a team hoping to spoil someone's good time. Miners vs. Monarchs, we've got a good old-fashioned war of the classes on our hands.

Because the Miner mod is offended, I recommend we link every UTEP thread to some random UTSA event. This is how a rivalry is developed.
