Liberal Dem Rep. Jim Moran Admits Obamacare In Death Spiral,
“I Don’t Think We’re Getting Enough Young People Signing Up To Make It Work”…
A rare moment of honesty from one of the biggest hacks in Congress.
Congressman Jim Moran (D-Va.) is voicing concern that the entirety Affordable Care Act could unravel because not enough young people are signing up.
More than 40,000 Virginians signed up for health insurance on the federal exchange last month. Only 27 percent of those were young adults — the group needed to fund the new system. Moran says he doesn’t think those numbers are going to get much better.
“I’m afraid that the millennials, if you will, are less likely to sign up. I think they feel more independent, I think they feel a little more invulnerable than prior generations,” Moran says. “But I don’t think we’re going to get enough young people signing up to make this bill work as it was intended to financially.”
If Moran’s prediction is correct, the whole law could unravel. He says there just isn’t enough incentive for healthy young people to sign up for insurance.
“And, frankly, there’s some legitimacy to their concern because the government spends about $7 for the elderly for every $1 it spends on the young,” Moran says.

RE: Liberal Dem Rep. Jim Moran Admits Obamacare In Death Spiral,
Geezus, what a moron. Did ANYONE actually believe this ponzi scheme would work out as these doe-eyed utopians hoped it would? I guess not running for election has given Moron a moment or two of actual sanity.
I guess this is the beginning of the leftists laying the groundwork for the next "too big to fail"- the Insurance co's. Notice, Moron didn't say anything about repealing this boondoggle, only that it isn't going to work as "it was intended to financially".
They won't take any responsibility for this things inherent flaws and failure, it will be as a$$hat says above. It's cause the Republicans don't plan to fix their bill, passed under disingenuous rules, under the cloak of night and over the holidays so people were hopefully distracted. Not ot mention the overt bribery that took place.
Soooo, who wants to bet? How long before we are hearing the divider in chief making claim that this "thing" is already in place, is too, too wunderbar (read to big to fail) to be repealed and replaced. It "threatens the financial stability of the United States, the Insurance industries viability and therefore the very health and lives of millions of our most vulnerable". "WE MUST HAVE A FEDERALLY FINANCED BAILOUT TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING!"
Wouldn't surprise me to hear the start of this sales pitch in the SOTU as soon as tomorrow. This thing is going down and it ain' gonna be pretty.

RE: Liberal Dem Rep. Jim Moran Admits Obamacare In Death Spiral,
I won't work until they punish the young with higher penalties than the cost of the bullsh!t, one size fits all, insurance. You watch - upping the penalties will be the next liberal call for a fix - that and upping the federal subsidy (spending more of the treasury) as an enticement. Oh goodie, more income redistribution.

Absolutely it is, yes.

The Senate probably will not pass such legislation this year; the House of Representatives definitely will not do so.

No need for Congress. I guess you didn't get the memo - all that's needed is a pen and a phone. The King has it covered. I mean, he's changed just about everything else this law requires.

Point taken, but the bailout of insurance companies involves money on such a scale/magnitude that it is simply beyond Obama's power to spend it without Congressional authorization. Watch, you'll see.
