Jersey number changes in basketball
It seems like since the Calapari years quite a few players have changed numbers on their jerseys from year to year.

I don't recall that ever happening in the Bartow/Kirk/Finch era.

Does anyone remember players changing numbers like they have in the past let's say, ten years?

It's the norm. Sometimes a player comes in and usually wears a certain number but another player has that number. Once that player graduates and/or gets tendonitis they try to get their old number back.

The only one I remember off hand was John Gunn. He was 24 his freshman year, 4 the next and then 44 when he died. Maybe some of our researchers can find a few more. I think Vaughn went from 50 to 42.

Vaughn was the only one I can remember from that era.

My memory has holes in it these days, without the aid of research, especially for details like that.

Does anyone have any idea where I could even find that info?

The one that really got me what Chance McGrady. Can anyone name all of his?

Also, Joey Dorsey was 15 his first season, 32 his sophomore and junior season, 3 his senior season.

^ Chance McGrady actually wore 31 not 21. Finch's #21 is retired.

#11 is cursed... you automatically underperform when you wear it...

Dixon (but he has played much better as of late)
Damien Wilson
Wesley Witherspoon
Chance McGrady (doesn't really count since he was walk on, but it could've had an effect on T-Mac)

*this response was entirely meant to be humorous, no one please take it to mean that I actually believe that it is true
