When you play a round robin home and home conference schedule, it really doesn't matter much, for RPI.

Right, not in the "numbers" sense, Andy.

BUT at the end of the season, you want to be able to say "zero losses outside the top 50 RPI" and "multiple top 50 RPI wins."

If the dregs of the conference beat up on the higher-echelon teams (especially ones that dealt you a home loss) it's not good from a seeding standpoint.
