There has been plenty of criticism for Seattle Seahawks’ cornerback Richard Sherman and the interview he gave Erin Andrews after the NFC Championship game, but Kevin Harlan of CBS Sports says the criticism is maybe being directed at the wrong person as Andrews should be the one taking the blame.

“I don’t know if she was unprepared, her reaction was more about her than the guy,” Harlan said. “It was very odd. If you go back and look at that interview, her reaction was more like drama queenish.”

Harlan pointed out the work of other female sideline reporters and believes they would have handled the situation better.

“If Michelle Tafoya or someone like that were interviewing, I can’t help believe that she wouldn’t have asked the appropriate followup and been a little bit more composed,” Harlan added. “Whereas the gal that was asking the questions was almost like she was on a stage. It wasn’t about her, it’s all about him, and the more I think about it, the more irritated I get.”

Harlan continued to share his opinions on the Andrews interview with Sherman and why he’s so critical of it.

And it wasn't Andrews who cut the interview. That was someone in the truck, who probably was afraid they were about to have an FCC situation.

CBS is trying to get you to not watch the Super Bowl, which is February 2nd . . . on FOX.

All joking aside. I saw nothing wrong with what Sherman did so there is no need for Harlan to blame anyone.

What would have been the thing to do would be to interview Crabtree about being called out by Sherman.

He's absolutely right IMO. I saw the interview as it was happening, and I thought pretty much the same thing. You can't blame Sherman's initial rant on Andrews, but she certainly handled it w/ great ineptitude.

Sherman gave almost the exact same interview to Fox Deportes a few seconds before he even spoke to Andrews.

The guy was seconds away from making the play that saved the game for the Seahawks and put them in the Super Bowl against their arch rivals.

He was totally pumped up with adrenaline.
