Funny, I, just off the top of my head, can't think of ANYTHIING that Obama's people have "put in place" that wasn't the train wreck that everyone but his serfs thought it would be............and lets blame his inability to "politic" on having children.

Maybe he didn't develop personal relationships in either party because he is a narcissistic ass and nobody except those that work for him (they have to pretend they like him -it's their job) wants to have a personal relationship with him.

Yea you don't tell the minority party in the house they have to get in the back seat, kick them when they are down, and then expect them to play nice when they retake the majority. Every president promises to work with the other party and although very few do it effectively nobody in my lifetime (Carter, Regan, Bush I/II, Clinton) has been quite as good at extending the finger at the opposition as Obama..

He probably isn't as bad as his administration is. They are ruthless and will do anything to get their way. Same goes with George W. Bush. I think you have 2 guys that got elected thanks to those around them and neither of them truly had control of where their administrations would take this country.

Sounds more like Harding to me than Bush.

Bush got a lot done, especially that first term. Yes, he listened to Cheney and Rumsfeld early, but even that matched his preferred agenda.

His later years were living to the compassionate conservative ideal, and Rumsfeld left and Cheney was nearly invisible. He did that, and got gutted for it by the left.

I guess I'm of the opinion that in W.'s case, I think he had a lot of push by the DoD and its contractors to go into Iraq, even though we should have continued to focus on Afghanistan.

I think everyone that runs for the office doesn't realize what's in store.. The day they are elected they are happy, then they meet with the sitting president.. He sits them down and says: You know all that sh*t you promised, it can't happen and here's why..

That's my theory.

Who will be the first republican to utter the phrase "elections have consequences, Mr. President" after mid-terms?

Absolutely. Despite what many people on this messageboard think, he's a disappointment to many democrats too. That republicans were admittedly being more stubborn than ever can only go so far, Clinton got it done. Though I do hope the passing of the budget signals movement towards the right direction, but we'll see.

Do you recall how many votes zerO's own budgets have gotten in the dim controlled Senate? Who's he willing to work with? Not even his daughters apparently.

Balanced a budget by working with a hostile Congress, one of the few federal achievements worth celebrating IMO. As for the republicans being stubborn, how many times did they try to repeal Obamacare for show? Your perspective only comes into play whether you feel their recalcitrance was deserved or not, it's an objective fact that republicans admitted to.

The second question has been asked and debunked around here countless times by now. How many have you been told have been votes to "repeal"?

As to the former, I guess you can chalk that up to clinton "getting it done" in that he signed the bill Gringrich and Co. had developed. So I guess there's that. As to the hostility, you do recall the so called Clinton- Gringrich "Summit" that got a lot of that legislation started, right? Most all of it with the genesis of the Contract with America.

It also didn't involve inflexible pledges and pressure from far-right tea party candidates. I really don't know how this isn't just a troll. Even Boehner admitted that the minority was being ridiculous in their inflexibility.
