Rice was more than game for our ladies but we got it together and finished it. If you were wondering, the win by the Lady Pirates was ther 23rd in a row at home.

Thanks, PTNC! It's great to see so many excellent photos of an away game.

Looking at the box score, both sides' defensive must have been intense -- and/or the play was sloppy -- as shooting percentages were pretty low:

Rice: 27.8% FG (Kuster: 2-14!); 15.4% 3s; 57.7% FT (despite Kuster's 7-9).
ECU: 30.2% FG; 13.3% 3s; 65% FT.

The biggest stat differential: Rice gave up 19 turnovers to ECU's 12; and the Owls had only 2 steals to the Pirates' 12. Ouch.

Hmmm

The D on the inside by both teams seemed to be pretty good, very little given up inside. The Pirate offense has been better at home than this so... Both teams looked evenly matched IMO. I mean we did play you guys in what, 2007 for the CUSA Women's title? From the two women's games I have been to for ECU this year, our offense was not with it for most of the game, we had to grind this one out.
