Definitely a more modest schedule for 2014 than last year. Losing ND from OOC hurts. But the bright side is that this can build momentum for the program. Glass half full, I guess.

I think the schedule sets up for a nice start. We could easily be 6-0/5-1 heading into the VT game. VT is probably the game that separates this between a overachieving year or a 7-5 type season. It's the games post VT that worry me the most. Anywhere between 7-5 and 8-4 makes the most sense to me. I don't think it'll be as tough as last season w/ a slightly easier schedule but we won many close games that could've easily been losses, so 6-6 could indeed happen as well.

The big thing, as usual, is going to be whether we're able to win close games. We could easily go 4-2 in the beginning of the schedule. That'd set us up for a tough road ahead after VT.
