Yes and no. At some point in development, a person just doesn't have the cognitive abilities to fairly hold them accountable for their actions as you would an adult, and I think that's what this situation was. The 13 year old is far from innocent from all wrongdoing, but I seriously doubt labeling him a sexual offender and having him arrested for rape is the answer here.

It's a bad situation without an easy answer, which is why I'm surprised that the response was 'PSHHHH bull**** LIBERALS!'

No, it's just no.

Is anyone applauding this? I'm asking for what recourse you'd prefer to the course taken.

If this was truly consensual then it isn't a legal issue. If not, it's a simple case of battery. Only an actual social worker dealing with the kids could make that call.

True, but:

1. There's hell to pay in the meantime, and
2. When the "self implosion" happens, the repercussions affect everyone. Not just "liberals".

That seems fair. Then, what's with all the liberal bashing going on? I mean, I know this place is what it is, but I'm not seeing even the faintest connection to liberalism in anyway.

I would love it if the liberals tried pushing that narrative.

"The GOP will never win another election until they change their stance on age of consent."

And they are just dumb enough to do it.

The great thing about liberalism, it always self implodes in the end.

Sorry Okla, but this is a non-existent issue. The only people who care about the age of consent are 18 years old and still in high school.
