For you old farts out there
Which was tougher to stomach; the dominance of Bill Walton in the 1973 title game or the Mario Chalmers shot in 2008?

Hmmm, both heart ripping, gut rending cases of the universe conspiring against you but I'd have to say Chalmers shot.

I was at the UCLA game and I can tell you hands down it was the Chalmers shot. But I still swear to this day, that Walton should have fouled out early in that game.

I agree on both, we had the Kansas game. UCLA blew us out the second half and Walton was unstoppable, and the refs gave him a couple of no calls.

Fouled out and had baskets taken away for offensive goal tending. It would have been much nicer if Finch helped him off the court a little earlier in the game. That was the greatest moment though.

kind of hard to have that other game when UCLA was goal-tending all game long, and the refs wouldn't call it

RE: For you old farts out there
We were in San Antonio. I held my 5 year old son for the entire game so he could see because everyone in our section stood the entire game... as they should. Coming down the home stretch, a fellow Tiger fan reached over and tapped me on the shoulder and said "your son is going to remember this his entire life. Our first national championship". I will remember both moments (the Chalmers shot and the shoulder tap) for the rest of my life.

Chalmers.

While the final result of 1973 was disappointing, we all felt really, really good about the whole experience. I don't think everyone could say that about 2008.

Chalmers…we should have won that one.

The UCLA game was lost midway through the second half and we couldn’t stop them. The refs helped with that too.

Chalmers. Let that one get away. We were close around halftime of the '73 game, but we were big underdogs to UCLA, and weren't supposed to win.

Chalmers shot. At least I could see it coming in 1973.
