NPR, Rx, if you haven't purchased one of those DVDs or VHSs yet, allow me to save you $40.
I was quite disappointed in the DVD. First off, the case booklet had no information on it, no credits, no quotes or anything, just a couple of pics and a blank inside.
The presentation itself seemed to be very low-budget. The audio was different depending on what you were watching. The main part sounded ok, but occasionally they would show a very, very brief lockerroom sketch that you could barely hear. And for whatever reason, so did the fans in the Grove when they showed them screaming "Go Rebels", it was very high-pitched and awful.
I was hoping for interviews with a lot of the players, but got zilch. Only an interview with Cut, and get this, one band member over and over again, along with the same two cheerleaders that kept giving their opinions on certain games.
It was almost embarrassing to watch, to be honest. One of the cheerleaders said something to the effect that losing to LSU:spit: only by 3 was really a victory in his mind because LSU:spit: beat Oklahoma by more than that. That is a ridiculously stupid thing to say.
They kept showing the celebrities that did the "Are you Ready" cheer for us, which would've been a helluva lot cooler had they showed the crowd responding with the loud Hotty Toddys we gave them all year, but no. They would show a celeb doing their part, and then immediately break away to game footage.
What this was was basically a Coach Cut game show the day after a game, expanded into a season, and narrated by none other than Mr Kellum.
Save your money, I wish I would've saved mine. :bang:
