Don't know, that's a good question, but I bet the marketing dept could tell you guys if you called them. We ordered ours in early January and still haven't received them, although they said it would be shipped in late Jan. If you ordered one now, I will venture to say that you will be lucky to receive it before football season 2004. :bang:

NPR, Rx, if you haven't purchased one of those DVDs or VHSs yet, allow me to save you $40.

I was quite disappointed in the DVD. First off, the case booklet had no information on it, no credits, no quotes or anything, just a couple of pics and a blank inside.

The presentation itself seemed to be very low-budget. The audio was different depending on what you were watching. The main part sounded ok, but occasionally they would show a very, very brief lockerroom sketch that you could barely hear. And for whatever reason, so did the fans in the Grove when they showed them screaming "Go Rebels", it was very high-pitched and awful.

I was hoping for interviews with a lot of the players, but got zilch. Only an interview with Cut, and get this, one band member over and over again, along with the same two cheerleaders that kept giving their opinions on certain games.

It was almost embarrassing to watch, to be honest. One of the cheerleaders said something to the effect that losing to LSU:spit: only by 3 was really a victory in his mind because LSU:spit: beat Oklahoma by more than that. That is a ridiculously stupid thing to say.

They kept showing the celebrities that did the "Are you Ready" cheer for us, which would've been a helluva lot cooler had they showed the crowd responding with the loud Hotty Toddys we gave them all year, but no. They would show a celeb doing their part, and then immediately break away to game footage.

What this was was basically a Coach Cut game show the day after a game, expanded into a season, and narrated by none other than Mr Kellum.

Save your money, I wish I would've saved mine. :bang:

No problem DW, I was just expecting something different, something better. I was hoping for something that got me excited about what we did last season, and it didn't. I was hoping to see some things that even someone like me and you that went to every game missed, and as I said it was basically a recap of the games. And being that we were at every game, it was nothing new. Basically, I guess I thought it would be professionally done with a clever hook, and it really looked like they left it up to a few students to make. No offense to those students, I know they tried, but for $40 I felt ripped. Of course, I've felt that way quite a bit under the Boone regime.

I agree with 10. What was with the elevator music during the game footage? WTF? That was horrible. I was hoping for more behind the scenes footage, player interviews and whatnot, but it was mostly game footage. One thing I thought was pretty good was the cottonbowl coverage (the week before the game), I really enjoyed that part.

Reading you guys posts makes me glad I did'nt order the thing!
With what you have described I would encourage all the purchasers make it known to the atheletic department what a rip off you feel it was. If you don't, and we have another really good season, you can expect more of the same.
I may be getting too pessimistic, cynical or down right cheap, I'm not sure which, but I'm tired of the giving hard earned $$$ and get diddley in return! Hinda makes ya feel like the little yellow guy

yea, I am sending Pete Boone a letter, detailing just how sucky I think he is, and why. I know it's a waste of time, but I feel like he has got to know that I, a contributer to Ole Miss athletics and not at all pleased with his leadership. 03-nutkick

$40? Wow!

Just a question, but where is the Ole Miss Radio/TV Network when you need them to come up with a DVD? ARSN does all of our DVDs, from the '94 title to the last DVD "Ambush in Austin". ARSN (Arkansas Razorback Sports Network) is run by KATV, the ABC affiliate from Little Rock, so it's really nicely done. Also is $24.95.. a tad bit cheaper. If I was Pete Boone, I'd have gotten a TV station from Jackson and the OM Network to do the editing, sound, etc.

and if you were pete boone, you wouldn't be cursed in every breath by the vast majority of Ole Miss faithful either. I wish we had someone in that office that had at least half a brain

He's a tool, no doubt :stupid:

Thanks for the input man, I will include that in my letter! 04-rock

I hope your letter does some good USMC, but I'm afraid the only language they'll understand is $$$$$.

The University recently called me up and asked for a $500.00 donation. I told the caller that as long as Colonel Rebel was still gone and Pete Boone was still there, I wouldn't be giving the University any money. I also told him to relay that message to Boone.

I do plan on being on campus on Grove Bowl Day and I do have two tickets to the Tennessee baseball game that will be played in the afternoon, but the jury is still out as to whether I'll buy football season tickets this year.

I got that same phone call awhile back, DW, and I think the lady probably thought I was nuts because I was laughing hysterically. Needless to say, they got nothing from me, but I wish I would've thought to mention the reason like you did. And I'm like you, I'm not sure they will even get my season ticket renewal. I've really been battling with this issue alot lately.

Got a call also. I didn't say I wouldn't because of colonel Reb, but I did tell her to tell Pete Boone to stick it up his @ss! She was like, um, sir. Needless to say, she didn't hang around long enough to get my updated information.

I would love to buy season tix this year, but can't due to finances. Just got a new house, and that pretty much did in a lot of my extra spending. I will still catch a few games here and there though.
